Draw This Pigtato With Me
Everyone knows that potatoes have evolved to be the alpha vegetable of the world, so I have decided to honor them with a drawing tutorial. Procure your favorite art supply and join in the fun!
Since I am fabulous, I used a Blackwing to draw this pigtato.
Also since I haven’t really drawn in a hot minute, and I am a RISD graduate and therefore supposed to be masterful at all art, I downloaded a pig line drawing to trace so it looks impressive and professional. Giving the pigtato its due. Please skip this step if you have a more healthy ego.
Required Art Supplies for this Project:
- Blackwing pencils
- Card stock
- Pencil sharpener
- iPhone
- 2 dogs 🐕 🐕🦺
- Martini
- Crisp little cheese wafers
- Dainty finger napkin
Step one:
Trace draw the pig with your Blackwing, leaving off the back 2 legs.

Step two:
Adjust the body to be more potatoey.
Step three:
Add potato eyes and shading to the potato body.
Step four:
Turn the back legs into french fries and color your pigtato with markers that you got for free from a company that wanted you write about them on your now abandoned art blog and you did write about them and they never even said thank you how rude.
Step five:
Add ketchup to the french fry legs to drive the point home that they are french fries and not two-by-fours. Uh oh they look like blood puddles.
Thank you for joining me for another “Draw This With Me”. Maybe the next one I do will be a little less involved and more like the classic fish-bear that I made you draw previously.
Here is a quick little awesome diamond doodle if you want something extra-straightforward.
